Turn of the Century patched overalls found in NC.

I got these overalls as a gift from Evan Myers in SF on my last visit. The patchwork is incredible and you can tell these were heavily worn by the farmer. He found them in an abandoned house in Guilford County out near Camp Herman, a lake and a summer camp retreat that was for Cone Mills employees. They were found under the floorboards in the attic. He put them back together by hand basting them to maintain the shape.  Thanks again Evan!!

Quick trip to Cali and some mines.

This trip was packed with adventure. We had all types of pleasant surprises. First night out we had a great sandstorm, the next day was miserable, our eyes were swollen all day and felt like scratchy goop was trapped in them. Other than the storm it was beautiful out, we had a full moon and it was the Super moon. We took lots of fun photos in the moonlight and even had a ringtail visit our camp and eat some of our food when we were on the top of the hill taking photos. One of the mines we visited was full of bats which didn't want us to leave the mine. We went way up in the mountains and visited four old log cabins from the 1800's and turn of the century. While up there we found a old stamp mill and some really wet mines. We found a pair of awesome pants on the trip which have a very unique history to be revealed in the future in Mike and Charla Harris's new book. The trip ended with a visit from friends from Levi Vintage Clothing. Incredible little trip. Thanks again to Mike and Charla Harris for an awesome time.

White Horse Trading Company Dungarees

I picked up a pair of White Horse Trading Company Dungarees recently. I ran across White Horse on Instagram through a mutual friend. I reached out to owner Ryan and got a hold of a pair. Here are a few detail photos. Fit photos in a week or so. Click here to visit his site http://www.whitehorsetradingco-usa.com/
Some of the really nice details are:
Aside from the Denim every part and piece is made in the USA
Hand set rivets
Single needle stitched riser seam construction
Roped hems
Cow hide leather tag
14oz Japanese Sanforized Selvedge denim (which was great, I am a true 34 and I ordered 34)
The pocket bags are finished using a "hong kong"seam finish-a method introduced and primarily used in custom couture houses, as it is time consuming and costly.
Fly components are all self enclosed leaving no raw edges to be found anywhere on the inside of the jeans.
Belt loops are four layers thick.
